最初アニメ制作の予定では、78話完結でした。
「東の海神 西の滄海」の次は「図南の翼」、「黄昏の岸 黎明の天」と続く予定でした。
原作の完成の後、すぐにでもアニメ化を考えていただきたい。
これだけの、舞台背景ができあがっているのにもったいないではありませんか。
外国の方達からも続きが見たいとの声が寄せられています。

図南の翼で利広が見たい! ゴージャス呉藍滌とマッチョ尚隆との掛け合いを見たい!

12 kingdoms should continue because there are so many loose ends that have been left untied. If, regretfully, the series has to end, then please end it on a note where people will know what happened. Even better though, continue the series! The characters wouldn't have gone through everything for it all to end like this. I know they are all fiction, but imagine if they were real people? What if the world ended right at the crucial moment? That's like this series ending at the crucial moment. Don't let that happen! Please! Thanks xx

When I first came across this anime; it was the beautiful artwork that drew me in to pick up the first dvd. I watched the first episode and was hooked right away. I've never seen an anime with such a different and beautiful animation. I was so impressed that I collected the whole series. It's so tragic that Taiki's story will never be finnished. Will he ever return home to his kingdom? Poor Sanshi, Gyousou and Risai are heart broken enough. Please bring their Kirin home. We also never got to see the new Kirin of the kingdom of Kou start a new.

Por favor, deben continuarla. Si bien el anime empieza un poco lento, toma ritmo y atrapa al espectador. Los personajes son maravillosos, y es emocionante seguir su evolución. Hace un par de años la disfrutamos en el mundo hispanohablante, y les cuento que es muy difícil encontrar info en español, a pesar de esto pude encontrar un resumen de la vuelta de Taiki (según la novela) y es impresionante. No aguanto las ganas de ver todo eso plasmado en el anime. Por favor, terminen la historia, tanto en las novelas como en la serie.

Please continue animating this story; it is deeply loved by a diverse and dedicated fan base and destined for great things. This is just too good and too loved to leave unfinished.

There is nothing more irritating than watching an anime, getting into it, and finding out that they are not going to finish it! It just reminds me of Inuyasha all over again >.< It's blasphemous to start something and not finish it! Well, that is my view about it...I am not saying that they should not have put it up there in the first place, I am just saying that if they were to put a fan craze on the market, just have the intent of finishing it!
