Great series. to bad it lost a bit direction in the last episodes - 41-45. there should be a closer to this epic story. i didn't read the novels. but if they continued after the anime ended it(the seires) should have a continuation as well. so please - continue..

There are many great anime I have seen which are unfinished. Others would be Berserk and His and Her Circumstances. Twelve Kingdoms to me is a masterpiece. I have seen a total of 124 complete anime series and own 104 complete anime series. It has been 3 years of watching anime since something took 1st place at the top of my anime rank list. After watching Twelve Kingdoms it boldy takes the number 1 spot as the greatest anime I own.

I would love to call one anime perfect and if Twelve Kingdoms was completed it could be called the first perfect anime.

As a father of a pair of anime fans I get to see alot of shows that my daughters like but I find are not at all special. Twelve Kingdoms is a huge exception to that -- it's so much better and if it can be completed it should.
