As an artist and as a fan of stories well told, I just love Twelve Kingdoms. I have yet to watch anything else like it. Something about this series just rings so true and honest to me-- qualities that are horribly lacking in most forms of entertainment I've come across these days.
The Twelve Kingdoms is a real gem among the loads of animated series out there-- it's also a real shame that it had to end where it did.
I believe this series deserves to live up to its full potential. I'm signing this petition out of any hope, as slim as it is, that someone up there with the ability to do so can pick up this series again.
Cheers!

Please re-xonsider and continue these series,it's a pity really that it was left as it is.Many of us who have read the novels would like to see the visual adaptation that has been so well done for the first novels. Please make up your mind!

Also a note, I believe it'd be rewarding for viewers to see how Yoko's empire grows into a prosperous kingdom. It is one way to extend the anime into 100 episodes, and gain many subplots to make it even longer... Inuyasha did it and the basic objective was "get shikon jewel from naraku, make it full" and it became one heck of a long anime and was adequate enough to be in my favorite list (Within my mind).

š Seriously. . . Come on! / Brandon
I sometimes wonder if this petition is even taking effect... But I must ask, why won't anyone create this. . . ? Other animes that have such a cliche storyline or just has no real "touch" to it, gets the good qualities of drawing and being published. I'm sure this is an anime that can compete with Inuyasha, Naruto, and/or even Bleach... Though at times, I think that this world also consists of unreasonable kids who enjoy anime only for the action or just the drawing qualities. It's all about the story! Tweleve Kingdom has character development, its own political world, odd yet appealing world that incorporates character development, many "point of views", diverse settings and even has interesting background stories. And when I say this, it's not like those crappy stories about how one lost its parents, they want revenge kind, it actually goes deeper, more in-depth, makes the characters so much dynamic. . ! I say use that resource that you use on crappy animes that always has the crappy "One protagonist (Guy) gets all these girls" plot with a bit of tweaking out of your lists and take unique and refined anime series such as Twelve Kingdoms! Why would you watch Green Eggs and Ham(Cliche Anime Series in General) when you can watch an epic drama/series (Twelve Kingdom) that hooks you til the very end!?

I apologize if this offends any other viewers that enjoy those cliche-drawn stories about a lucky guy being surrounded by multiple girls and being loved for various unoriginal reasons... Sure, start with a guy saying "Hmm, forgotten memories, who was that shaded girl in my childhood that I helped and gained affection from? Oh yeah, I made a promise with her to get married with her when we're old enough!" crap. . . I'm sorry, I've seen this kind of storyline/reasoning more than six times in one day... And that was just me looking through the anime I have in my computer, and they're all new. . . SO really, stop wasting your resources trying to pay for a playwright when you already have a novel to follow upon (Twelve Kingdom) with the original anime series that started the story out for you already. Sure start it all over and actually continue it til the very end, as long as this anime is to continue, I'm fine. Anime-viewers should seek story and many more points other than something you can find in your imagination in the top of your head (I.E.: Cliche plots, cliche character archetypes, Unoriginal relationship connections, etc). I say you should be more "hit" by the anime series like Twelve Kingdom that makes you say wow even when incorporating cliche ideas. Code Geass was able to pull of the unoriginal bad guy -> good guy act in the end, but still made many viewers satisfied.

Anyhow, I hope you all agree with me in some ways... I just got carried away after encountering more than six horrible experiences!
