這只是一個開始………。
已經遺忘我們的音樂最初的樣子多久了？
當走遍全世界聆聽著許多陌生新聲音的同時
有一種渴望
當印度樂、拉丁樂…等
這些民族色彩濃厚的音樂元素躍上國際成為流行時
我們一向引以為傲的華人音樂呢？
於是 王力宏史無前例的創造了流行樂壇新曲風「chinked-out」
重新定位華語音樂的新身分。
為了創造"chinked-out"這個使命，力宏像個旅人堅持著他未完成的路，從出發的那天就注定了，他必須一直繼續著那些關於音樂和跨越的事。
Along the disappearing horizon, we search for the sun and moon in our hearts. However, it's just a beginning. How long have you forgotten the original look of music? When you travel all around the world and open yourself to many new sounds, an aspiration begins to breed…While Indian and Latino music…While these recognizable musical styles become internationally well-known and popular, where is the Chinese music that we were once proud of? Because of this, without precedent in history, Leehom creates a brand new style, “chinked-out.” With this, he orientates the new identity of Chinese music. In order to polish the style “chinked-out,” Leehom is much like a wayfarer who persists on his unfinished journey. From the very best day he set sail, his destiny is shaped. He must go on his musical travel and continue his crossing.
從北京到上海，南京到重慶…力宏遊歷過一城市又一個城市，他終於毅然決然背上行曩遠赴更深的國土，讓自己像一個音樂新鮮人，帶著他的小提琴和簡易的錄音設備，探索更淳樸的鄉村，採集更純粹流傳更久遠的中華音樂，他想知道五千年來深深影響著黃皮膚?K頭髮這個民族的音樂到底是什麼，他想知道在更久更遠的地方情人們唱著什麼歌互訴情意，少女們唱著什麼調讓手中的女紅如此動人，他想親耳聽見那令全世界的人都為之動容的天籟之音。於是一趟雲藏采風之旅開啟了這張專輯的大門。
From Beijing to Shanghai, from Nanjing to Chongqing, Leehom has been to many cities. After all these, he decided to pack his backpack and travel to the remote, being a novice in music once more. Taking his violin and simple recording equipment, Leehom explores far-away countryside and collects pure and wide-spreading music. He's eager to know that, in these five thousand years, what music has exactly influenced the people with yellow skin and dark hair? In those distant places long ago, what love songs are sung to pass on couples' affections? And what tune those young ladies sing to make the embroideries in their hands so appealing? He wants to hear the most beautiful and pleasant sound that touches the world…by his own. For this reason, his trip to Yunnan and Tibet opens the gate of making this album come true.
終於，他來到了傳說中的「香格里拉」，生命的追求有了改變。原來「心中的日月」就在這裡。
And he ends up here in the legendary Shangri-La, where his pursuit of life has sort of changes. As it turns out, this place is “Sun and Moon in the Heart”---where the love and heart lie, and where an ideal, enchanting wonderland comes into real.
中甸藏族將「心中的日月」解釋為「香格里拉」，藏語方言是「人間仙境」在這裡與世隔絕，有人說是一個可以人神共處的世外桃源，傳說世界上只有一個地方，能看見壯麗的峽谷、純靜的湖泊、鮮豔的花海，在初升紅日的映照下，雪山金光萬丈，強烈的光芒讓人感受到巨大的溫暖與力量。
For the Tibetan people in Zhong-dian, “Sun and Moon in the Heart” equals Shangri-La. It means “Heaven on Earth” in Tibetan dialect, place that is isolated from civilization. Some say it's a wonderland where God and human beings are able to live in harmony. It's the only one place in the world where one can see magnificent gorges, peaceful lakes, colorful flower seas at the same time in one. Splendid sunrise, glorious snow-capped mountain and radiant scenery make people feel the great warmth and power of nature.
「心中的日月」這首歌的創作來源正來自於力宏行經香格里拉的真實感受，流暢優美的曲風彷彿帶你飛越人間仙境，笛子、六弦琴、揚琴、鼓及金發等等中國樂器，忽隱忽現的穿越其間讓聆聽者彷彿看見樂天知命的藏族身影跳躍其中，力宏運用中國五音階的創作方式譜出西洋音樂的現代旋律，亦引用了中國的古老樂器交織其中，一種說不出口的絕妙搭配，聽不見國樂的傳統包袱沒有西洋曲風的浮躁不安呈現出的，確是中國的古典美與西洋音樂的新鮮俐落，我們果然能乘著力宏音樂的翅膀飛進心中的日月，聽見人間仙境的絕色。
The song “Sun and Moon in the Heart” was inspired by Leehom's Shangri-La trip. Smoothing and beautiful melody is like wings that can take you fly across the earthly utopia. Chinese instruments, including bamboo flute, vielle, dulcimer, drums and jin-fa, etc. interweave in the track. With the sound of singing filling the ear, you can almost see the silhouettes of the easygoing, happy-go-lucky Tibetan dancing in the midst of melody. Leehom resorts to the five notes of traditional Chinese music and creates western melody of the modern days. With coalition of Chinese ancient instruments, the two kinds of different styles merge into one and make a wonderful match. For one thing, Chinese ancient music was peeled off its traditional baggage and western music was taken off its impetuosity. In the song, the essence of two styles is sublimed; Chinese classicism beauty and western sharpness are the two things stayed. Via Leehom's music, we can really fly into the paradise in our hearts and hear the sound from heaven.
詞意中力宏用虛擬的愛情?搏Y聆聽者的想像力，讓這首歌更加簡易深入人心，他相信無論誰來到香格里拉都會愛上這裡的姑娘，他更相信愛情的力量也能帶領我們來到心中的日月，現在我們還能沿著力宏的歌聲飛行在香格里拉蔚藍的天空聞到格桑花清新的香氣。
In the lyrics, Leehom makes use of a fictitious affection to enhance the audience's imagination, which gives this song an easier access to the depths of our hearts. He believes whoever comes to Shangri-La will fall in love with the ladies here. And also he has a stranger belief that the power of love can lead us to the “Sun and Moon in the Heart”. Now we can follow Leehom's singing and fly up high in the bright, blue sky of Shangri-La, smelling the pure and fresh fragrance of Gesang flower (it's a kind of chrysanthemum, which means “propitious and beautiful” and “blessedness flower of Tibetan”).

This time in 2004, we give you the best Wang Leehom. “Sun and Moon in the Heart” is a materialization of his true heart and origin. We also look forward that this brand new album is able to bring a gleam of hope in 2005 for Chinese music arena.
